No Christianity without discipleship, it must look like; denying self, taking your cross, following Jesus – Luke 9:23.

3 points as we follow Christ:

  1. To Denial ourselves: To denial ourselves is to abstain from what we crave for, what our flesh pleasures in, that is not permitted in the word of God.
  2. Take up your cross: To take up our cross daily is similar to abstaining from the happenings of the world, its music, its movies, its community like clubs and pubs, joints for drinking and smoking, gambling houses, gang zone, you name it. The cross will literally not allow you to you belong to the world to the word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Remember the cross is also public humiliation just think of the passion of the Christ movie, you know how that Christ bore that cross in public. I have been born again for over 10 years now and am still following Jesus, I can tell you the shame I had to take, the spittle, the stoning, the mocking, the beating, the doubting, the every not nice or pleasant from those who once cheer you, those who once loved you when you where in there circle, but now you have given your life to Christ. Your motives are no longer the same, your words no longer the same, your time no longer the same. They can spend theirs on clubbing, gambling, and other vices but you, your time is for Christ. I remember when I started with Christ, I spent my morning hours with Christ, seeking help from him because my friends, most of them had timed me and said I will not last long in Christ. So I seek his face for strength just like Isaiah spoke – in Isaiah 40:28- end; they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength, they will mount up with wings as eagle, they will run and not faint, they will walk and not be weary. Those are some of God’s word that kept me going in Christ. This brings us to the last point:
  3. Follow me, I can summarize this point in one word, time. Time is all that is demanded of you to be a good disciple you need time and if you will do well a lot of time is demanded especially in three areas one is prayers, study, discussion/meditation of what you study from his word. And then you must share what you’ve got, what you’ve discovered, what Jesus has given you.

Finally, my friends be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God so that you can stand against the whiles of the enemy.

Shall we pray. Father I thank thee for all my readers, friends and your Children seeking for your help, right now lord I ask that you will help them. As your word said that sin shall not have dominion over you, lord let it be done in their life’s in Jesus name I pray. Amen.
