And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come...

What does this implies?

Well, it simply means that we are forever occupied with a duty to sit in Christ stead. And the command is to Occupy in that position till he comes.

What a post! a post to act as Christ Representative on earth. Just like any position on earth it comes with a great task and off course a task commiserate with the tools, offers, gifts, privileges and rewards at last.

Are there tools for this job?

Luke  19:13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

The "Pounds" at our disposal refers to the Gifts of the Holy Ghost such as wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing and so on as stated in 1 Corinthians  12:8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

12:9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

12:10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: Let's break it down;

  • Wisdom,
  • Knowledge,
  • Faith,
  • Healing,
  • Miracles,
  • Prophecy,
  • Discernment of spirits,
  • Divers kinds of tongue, and
  • Interpretation of tongues.

What powerful tools for such a position. Let's look at wisdom - the exact tool Solomon needed to rule the kingdom of Israel. No tool is insignificant for this duty of occupying. Without this tool the work will not prosper because is not by power nor might, but by his Spirit.

Who are those to Occupy?

Every believer, every Child of God, every Born again person and most especially every disciple of Jesus, those who follow after his commandments must occupy till the Master comes. Not forgetting to be watchful of ones self not just others. You watch the signs, you watch the times, you watch your life.

Are there those with more than one pound?

Sure! a faithful child of God with the desire to do exploit can receive all these gifts. Like Paul the Apostle he had an adrenaline to do exploit in anything he lays his hands on. So he received all the tools needed for the job as a great Representative of Christ.

Are there Rewards?

Off course! His disciples asked this question in Matthew  19:27; Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?

And the Master replied:

Matthew  19:28; And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

19:29; And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. What a reward for just being a Representative of Jesus, an hundredfold!  I love this part, an hundredfold. And you know the Savior will never promise what is not true.

Can anyone become His Rep?

Yes, and you too can become His Representative by given first your life to Him, stay under His teachings by fellowshiping with other true believers around you, stay with Him by seeking his face daily through prayers and then reach out to your friends and families with the love you've found in Christ.

Stay blessed.
