Why we must pray

What is prayer?

Prayer is talking to God. An expression with a sincere heart. The Bible says “Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near.” Isaiah 55:6 (NIV).

Prayer is a command and a duty, Jesus told his disciples "When ye pray" meaning they must pray. Its like a must but not a force.

Prayer is a profound practice that connects individuals with the divine Creator, fostering spiritual growth and inner peace. It serves as a means of expressing gratitude, seeking guidance, and finding solace in challenging times. Beyond personal benefits, prayer cultivates a sense of community and empathy, promoting collective well-being. In various religious traditions, prayer is considered a pathway to align with higher purposes and divine wisdom. It instills humility, encouraging individuals to acknowledge their dependence on a power beyond themselves. 

Ultimately, prayer offers a transformative journey, fostering a deepened relationship with the divine and providing strength, comfort, and purpose in the midst of life's uncertainties. In general term prayer is divine everyone must pray because in our subconscious mind we think and feel of something greater than us, someone bigger than mankind and so we pray. Some pray consciously and sometimes unconsciously. Consciously before an event, unconsciously during an event like a plan crash senerio, an accident senerio and lots more event. The point remains that prayer must be made without ceasing.

The Master view of prayer:

Luke 18:1-25 KJV

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; 

Jesus said that the duty of man is to pray and not to faint. I can liken it to be men ought always to work and not to sleep. That said, man has a role of communicating his desires to God always. Bringing him to that event, that circumstances, that problem and also that success. God must be involved in your process. 

As a Christian pray is an utmost priority because we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers. Even when you think you are not fighting they on the other side are, to be foretold is to be forearmed. Prayer is our weapon in this dark and perditious world we live in. Even Christ our Master prayed, yes, he prayed! If a God will pray who are we not to pray.

Prayer is the key:

Christ started his ministry with prayer and ended it with prayer. As the song goes prayer is the Master key. 

Prayer is the last hope in a merciless situation an example from the Bible 

...saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: and there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. Luke 18:2.

18:4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;  

18:5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.  

18:6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.  

18:7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?  

18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Lesson learned: Though it may seem that God is too late in every situation you've ever called on him for. Just keep on asking, oh my own heaven is locked up, just keep asking, just keep seeking, just keep finding, he will sure show up, yes he will, he will. In that your situation, your are alone in that fight, your have tried off course everything possible yet no one is coming for you. I say "just keep asking." GOD NEVER FAILS, He is always on time. He can be your event planner if you want.

Warning against false prayer:

Jesus taught, “When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men

 … but when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your father who is unseen." Matthew 6:5-8. 

There are bad rewards for wrong prayer manner as seen below. Your intentions should be of good, your heart should be free of stones (malice). The heart is the receptacle a dumping ground for ideas and a place where God resides, where His Spirit flows in and out. 

So therefore, it must be clear of all forms of garbage and one command key for clearing it is the key called Forgive, yes, that word forgive is the delete word to clear your heart for God to come through for you. Forgive your haters, forgive your friends, forgive your family that has hurt you, hit you, wronged you, stabbed you at the back, you must forgive. And when you do try again to reach out with faith and God Almighty will come through for your in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Another right way of prayer is to use His name, the name of His Son JESUS, the Bible says at the mention of his name every kneel shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord. Just mention that name and all will be well, he must come through for you. Philippians 2:10-11 KJV.

I pray for you, that all your challenges that are greater than mountain of life. In the name of Jesus it shall be rolled away. In Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.
