Does Jesus care

 Does Jesus cares?

A song writer once wrote a hymn titled "Does Jesus Cares." Each line, resonate with the reality of what life can bring. How tough it could get. And the last hope of it all.

Stanzas 1 says;

Does Jesus care when my heart is pained,

Too deeply for mirth or song;

As the burdens press, and the cares distress,

And the way grows weary and long?

Stanzas 2 says;

Does Jesus care when my way is dark,

With a nameless dread and fear?

As the daylight fades into deep night shades,

Does He care enough to be near? [Refrain]

Stanzas 3 says;

Does Jesus care when I’ve tried and failed,

To resist some temptation strong;

When for my deep grief I find no relief,

Though my tears flow all the night long? [Refrain]

Stanzas 4 says;

Does Jesus care when I’ve said goodbye,

To the dearest on earth to me,

And my sad heart aches till it nearly breaks—

Is it aught to Him? does He see?

[Refrain]

And here goes his [Refrain], his chorus...

O yes, He cares- I know He cares!

His heart is touched with my grief;

When the days are weary,

the long nights dreary,

I know my savior cares.

The hymn "Does Jesus Care?" was written by Frank Ellsworth Graeff, an American minister and hymnwriter, after he experienced a period of great difficulty. Graeff's youngest sister, Arasma, passed away at the age of 34 in 1901, and by then he had lost two-thirds of his immediate family.

Graeff found comfort in 1 Peter 5:7, which says, "He cares for you". He used his own experience of grief to help others who were going through similar trials.

The hymn's lyrics express the assurance that Jesus is sensitive to our trials and cares for us.

The song addresses four examples of things we face in our Christian lives:

Burdens and trials,

Nameless dread,

Stumbling into sin, and

The painful separation of death.

The hymn's chorus affirms, "O yes, He cares".

You may be or had been in similar situation, heart breaking events, things you may not have the right words to share and even though you can share it, the listeners may not understand it well enough.

In all this, our Savior cares. Don't throw in the tower. Don't hate God.

The Bible says in Hebrew 4:15

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

An high priest is like a medium to access God, he is more like an advocate.

So when an high priest is touched, with the same feelings as the ordinary people, the way he approaches the alter of sacrifice [which symbolizes the presence of God] becomes different.

He stands before the alter demanding judgement concerning the situation on ground.

We all go through different forms of challenges but our prayers should be that we don't go through these challenges without hope, without help, without a hand from above, that is over all principalities and powers that may be incharge of instigating our challenges.

God is over all, He sees, He knows, He feels. At the end of it all He gives the testimony. And guess what! no testimony without the test.

I pray for you, may your suffering be cut short in the name of Jesus. May your consolidation be much greater than your conflicts. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
